About the Owner

My love of gardening and flowers stems from my early days of seeing my Dad turn our acre property into magnificent gardens. With a vision of a quaint flowery in Downtown Orillia, I received my certification from the world renowned Canadian Institute of Floral Design, and set my sights on finding the perfect space. As soon as I saw the restoration of the old fire hall, my vision was fulfilled. I feel that the stars aligned, every person involved in this project was meant to be by my side as I built it, as it all fell into place.  

I’ve always worked in my community, in different sectors, and as a merchant in a downtown historical building with my trend-setting hair salon, where in 2002 I received the Orillia Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneurial Initiative Award, and other accolades over those wonderful years. I’m confident the Flowery will follow in the trail-blazing footsteps of my former business, in unique, creative and head-turning ways.

I’ve surrounded myself with a team of people who shine in different ways to complement the shop and the creative services we provide. Most importantly, we are all people-people, and we look forward to celebrating all of your life occasions, big and small.
